A small humble corner store in a under grorund food court just behind Townhall Woolworths. Sayong sell the most flavoursome and tasty lunch within the area, hands down expect for maybe the thai place next to it, that place is nice too). Famous for their laksa, everything on their menu is less than $10. They serve the most tender beef rendang I've ever had, chicken is also nice and perfectly cooked. br/ br/ Pros : F... What Jalyn Harber doesn't like about Sayong Curry & Laksa:
This place seems to charge the same as it did years and you can still get a big meal for Unfortunately, the quality's the same as it was back then, so it's been left behind by the massive improvement in other food court offerings in Sydney. Coming back after a long absence, I was unimpressed with the bland food (and of course with the scumminess of this food court, which looks like the dodgier Singapore hawker centre... Probably the busiest shop in this food court, but you can understand why. Meals are pretty cheap and delicious. Everything seems to be reliable. Made to order is probably the better option and definitely the popular choice. It's worth checking out if in this FoodCourt!
The Hainanese chicken rice, Penang char kway teow and nasi goreng are all good at Sayong. Bonus: they're all under ten bucks. This food court is a bit of a hidden gem, located down the stairs inside the building where Woolworths Town Hall is. Entry is via Pitt St in Pittsway Arcade. Note: the photo of the nasi goreng was taken at home because I took it away (plating would obviously be very different if you ate in). sarahversuscarbs.com
Attached under the Townhall Woolworths is a small food dish with many treats, ideal for lunch studies in the CBD. The chicken rice at Sayong was silky, if a bit cold, the rice had a good balance of the waistlows and flavors, and the soup was really delicious. At $ 8.5 it is a good value, and cheap enough to close myself about the abundance of bones I had in my thigh meat. Everything I can say is, I'll get your breast meat next time.

What else do you want? Con : Its in a dodgy food court. I usually bring my food back to the office. Must get : Combination Laksa, chicken rice and nasi lemak (beef rendang option)
This is located at the Food Court under / behind Woolies, this is one of my picks for the food court. The Hainan chicken rice is a residue of only 8.50 dollars.
