If I could, I would eat here everyday, the food is fresh, delicious, tasty and the hostess, Vanessa is wonderful. I love the curry, the trifle, I could go on...it's hands down the best place to eat for miles around. Simply great value and yummy food constantly. View all feedback.
What Redsionnach doesn't like about The Latch:
The Latch has a lot of potential that hasn't been fully realized. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location with a charming building. The menu is not very extensive and the dessert menu was handwritten and a little dirty. The service is decent, nothing extraordinary. The food was quite tasty, with the highlight being the delicious ice cream. We tried the chicken curry, lasagne, ice cream and a roulade. View all feedback.
The food was superb and the prices were fair. I will definitely return in the future.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I highly recommend it after my first visit and cannot wait to return. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
Did not bother eating as I could see other diners meals. Decided to get a hot chocolate (which is on their menu online) but Caroline said “we don’t do that” ordered a coffee €2.20 online but charged €3 which would have been ok if it had tasted like real coffee not what I can only imagine was maxwell house.
What a little gem, from start to finish outstanding service and food. Every dish was piping hot, fresh and so tasty. The biscoff cheesecake was to die for.
Called today for Sunday lunch... and what a lunch. On a muggy damp showery day we were seated in a covered marquee in the gorgeous garden of this town centre restaurant. Shown to our table by a young gentleman who has a great furure ahead of him, we were delighted to see the menu was so comprehensive. A very reasonable €18 for a three course lunch. I had the freshly made vegetable soup served with delicious fresh bread. My partner enjoyed every morsel of his beautifully presented egg mayonaise. Both of us opted for the roast lamb which did not disappoint. Tender and succulent served with no less than four different fresh garden vegetables. Chips and mashed potatoes. Dessert choices were problematic!! There was too much choice. I opted for raspberry meringue roulade... partner had lemon meringue pie which was pronounced as amazing. Two glasses af a decent Sauvignon blanc and two coffees brought the total bill to €49. Amazing value fpr such a lovely meal. I can't wait to return next time I find myself passing through Tallow.
