Contribute FeedbackOystercatchers offers a mixed experience, with some standout dishes and attentiveness from staff, but inconsistencies in food quality and wait times. The view of the gulf is lovely, creating a pleasant ambiance. Some diners were disappointed in dishes such as fish and chips while others praised the oysters and steak. Service was efficient and overall enjoyable, with exceptional moments highlighting the experience. Despite a few hiccups, Oystercatchers remains a charming spot with potential to impress, especially for those seeking a memorable waterfront dining experience in Tampa.
Both my husband and I felt the food was tasteless. My husband had the grouper and it got cold very quickly. The bread came after our appetizer and we had to ask for it. Our first time here and probably our last.
Tried a bit of everything and it was all fantastic. From oysters, to charred octopus, sea bass, and the pork shank.....all delicious.
Overall we had a very enjoyable experience at Oystercatchers. There was just one little glitch. My husband and I both ordered grouper. It tasted delicious but both of us noticed the center of the fish seemed a bit cool. Not sure this is the norm. But both of us noticed it!
The food tended to be either phenomenal or just alright. The kitchen was very backed up despite the restaurant not being full and we ended up waiting almost an hour for the entrees. The building was beautiful and our server was doing everything he could to expedite the process but I will probably not return based on the noise level of the restaurant and the wait time along with the inconsistency of food quality.
Service was absolutely spot on Highly recommended! As usual.
