Contribute FeedbackHopscotch Cafe in Tamworth has garnered mixed reviews from customers, with experiences ranging from amazing to average. Some have praised the friendly staff and delicious food, while others have complained about long wait times, grumpy staff, and subpar coffee. Despite some issues, the cafe's location in Bicentennial Park, extensive menu, and dog-friendly environment have earned it a loyal following. Overall, Hopscotch Cafe seems to be a hit or miss depending on the day, but for many, the fantastic breakfast, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere keep them coming back for more.
We had the nicest breakfast in a cafe under the trees in the park. My “Sweetie” breakfast was a lovely balance of figs, mascarpone, honey and cinnamon. Coffee was superb. And serving size’s generous. Staff very friendly.
We called in for a respite on a hot day after doing the Peel River levee bank walk. We and our dog were welcomed into the shady courtyard. Pleasant helpful staff split our shared milkshake into 2 glasses with a scoop each of icecream. Recommend the sourdough toast topped with kimchi and grilled cheese.
I 've been to this establishment a number of times and its been mostly a good experience. I understand that covid and staff issues have generated problems for businesses. Basic coffee service should be a given and when pointed out to staff should be rectified and in this case was..unfortunately barely rectified the second time around. Over cooked eggs on a benny if not great either, again mentioned to staff and I 'll mention this to the kitchen staff response,,could have been... Let me replace those overcooked eggs straight away .. maybe?Just a thought..
I've reviewed Hopscotch before and it continues to impress. Beautifully situated in Bicentennial Park (which just seems to be getting better and better), it's one of the best places in Tamworth for breakfast, lunch or just a snack. The menu is large, the drinks and food are great and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are plenty of tables outside for people who are COVID-cautious and for those of us with furry friends. A great indicator is they always made sure Harry had a water bowl when taking our orders. It's a long drive from Tea Gardens but we will definitely keep coming back!
What a fantastic breakfast, actuallyvthe best breakfast I have had at a cafe for a long time, eggs were cooked perfect, super friendly staff, dog friendly, coffee was superb, what more can I say.
