We've always enjoyed our meals from Moontong over the past 7-8 years and have friends and family who always go there for great Chinese food when they come into the city. View all feedback.
What Ashlee Crona doesn't like about Moon Tong:
Have enjoyed lunch here previously and returned because it was lunchtime and we felt like having some Chinese food (this is the only such place in the area). The service was quick (we were the only ones in the restaurant) and the lunchtime food (combo-specials)...was acceptable, if mediocre (eg. too much breading on the Soo Guy). The surroundings are very blah, tired and worn-out looking...especially the dirty coveri... View all feedback.
The problem is always the same. Poor customer service, this includes over soaking food that drenches you're new car seat with sticky sauce... looks like I'm not the only one that has this problem. Too bad, because the food it self is good.
Ordered for the first time last night and it will be the last. Got home to find leaking styrofoam containers and dishes that didn't resemble what we ordered. E.g. the Vegetable Chow Mein is actually a box of bean sprouts with about a quarter of a cup of crunchy noodles. It should be called Bean Sprout Chow Mein. If you want steamed veggies, order the cashew chicken because there were lots of veggies but we were hard pressed to find the chicken. The worst Chinese food I have ever had.
Not great. Sweet and sour chicken was soggy and could hardly bite through the egg roll. Third time this happened. Probably wont go back.
I have eaten here about a dozen times. The food is always good but would not say the best I ever had. Then again, I do keep returning. Get the special combos, good value.
I 'm a combo eater so I like their Chinese food. It has always tasted fresh and don 't recall my rice ever tasting burnt (unlike the Great Wall). Service is fast.
