Went to Albarino on Saturday night. This is the third time we have been there now. Each visit has been superb. I find it impossible to fault anything. The dishes are lovingly made with so much respect for the ingredients and authenticity. I have written a review before and said that it is a little piece of Spain in Broadstairs. In my opinion it is better than tapas I have had in Spain. The food and attentive service... View all feedback.
What Sharon L doesn't like about Albarino Tapas Restaurant And Bar:
Our group of four had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered three tapas each, expecting to share all the dishes. However, each dish came with only three portions, causing some inconvenience. The management should consider adjusting portion sizes, especially since many tables had four people. The service was also lacking, with a waitress constantly hovering and rushing to remove dishes. With improv... View all feedback.
We do not dine out as frequently as we used to, so it had been a while since our last visit to this restaurant. What a mistake that was! The food was absolutely incredible. We selected 6 dishes to share from the menu, along with a dessert that was paired with a recommended dessert wine. Even with such high expectations, two dishes really stood out: the goat cheese with aubergine and honey, and the Spanish rice pudding with orange and quince. Both were of Michelin Star quality. The service was equally impressive - efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. We are fortunate to have this restaurant in our neighborhood and should make a point to frequent it more often. In these challenging times for the hospitality industry, we should appreciate and support local establishments like this. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
This restaurant is a favorite of ours. They serve delicious food made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and everything is cooked to order. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, with a fantastic wine selection. They also sell some of the produce they use. I highly recommend it!
We had a fantastic experience at this warm and inviting tapas restaurant. It was our first time there for a birthday celebration, but I am certain we will return. We started with a sherry board, which was a new and delightful experience for us. The tapas dishes were all delicious, with a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian options. We even saved room for dessert - the Spanish rice pudding with orange and quince was unexpectedly delicious. The service provided by the two waitresses was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This was our second evening visit to this little gem of a tapas bar in the last three months. There is a very ample and varied choice of dishes on the menu from meat, fish, seafood and vegetarian tapas which are beautifully presented in a very authentic Spanish style. The two ladies that served us were amazing and very attentive at all times throughout. We have since recommended this lovely bar to our friends and family and are planning our return in February during the Blues Bash Festival so please please if you haven’t yet tried this place….book now to avoid disappointment during busy periods.
Visited on a Friday night in January with friends. Great food some of the best tapas we’ve had outside of Spain. Very friendly staff and a great service.
