The rooms were lovely, modern, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel boasts a delightful restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and charming. I would definitely choose to stay there again when flying out of Stansted airport. A good atmosphere and excellent service make this restaurant a great option. The food is typical of a pub, but with a fantastic variety and high quality. The establishment also offers accommodations and a spacious parking lot. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy some time.
My husband and I took our mothers out for Sunday lunch. We had a wonderful meal and the service from the staff was very welcoming. The prices were very reasonable. Great pub with everything you need. Lovely food and staff. However, the church right opposite rings a bell every hour through the night and the pub is under the Stanstead Airport flight path. Lovely village as well, but the pub is on the busiest road, so bring your ear plugs or have a few pints to help you sleep. Rooms: 5 Service: 5
