This is a tiny place, but it adds to the experience. It's decor is dated, but who goes to a pub for the decor? The bar service is a bit slow, but be patient, as the owners are working really hard and doing the best they can. We were entertained by a great band on a Friday night, and the sound was loud without distortion. Worth checking out! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Oak Tree Tavern:
have visited family and after a long break from the oak due to violence and exaggeration we tried again through the week and eating is terrible. owners vile and creepy and simply not to be a beautiful place, they have an outside area. Now what is better, but it sealed the deal to ever come back here. View all feedback.
Have you ever heard the saying, "you never appreciate what's right in your own backyard"? Well, I recently discovered a hidden gem that I have been overlooking for years. While I am a fan of a good steak, this restaurant won me over for many other reasons. Located at the foothills of the Dandenong Mountains, this place is truly a hidden treasure. I almost missed the turnoff when trying to find it, but once you get to the triangle, you'll find plenty of parking available.
You know how they say you never explore what's in your own backyard? Well, I recently discovered a hidden gem that I have been missing out on for years. While I am a fan of a good steak, this restaurant won me over for so many other reasons. Nestled at the foothills of the Dandenong Mountains, this place is truly off the beaten path. I almost missed the turnoff trying to find it, but once you arrive, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the ample parking available near the triangle area.
For those who love steak, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can honestly say that the porterhouse steak I had here was one of the best I've ever tasted, and at a much more affordable price compared to other popular steak restaurants like Rockpool, Squires, and Vlados. The host kindly informed us that our medium rare steaks would take some time as they are made with care. When our steaks arrived, it was worth the wait - perfectly cooked and about 2 and a half inches thick. This restaurant has now become my go-to spot for steak nights. I would rate it a 9 out of 10.
I love this place, the food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Plenty of live music on a Saturday night or Karaoke on a Friday night. It has a great atmosphere without any trouble.
This is a cute little place always busy and sometimes a little bit loud, but the food delicious. I took my chef brother there for dinner one night and he said it's the best steak he has ever eaten to put it into...context, my brother has worked at The Press Club The Lake House. If you're down for a good steak, this is the place to go.
