This is a tiny place, but it adds to the experience. It's decor is dated, but who goes to a pub for the decor? The bar service is a bit slow, but be patient, as the owners are working really hard and doing the best they can. We were entertained by a great band on a Friday night, and the sound was loud without distortion. Worth checking out! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Oak Tree Tavern:
have visited family and after a long break from the oak due to violence and exaggeration we tried again through the week and eating is terrible. owners vile and creepy and simply not to be a beautiful place, they have an outside area. Now what is better, but it sealed the deal to ever come back here. View all feedback.
Large small pub with lots of live music, from karaoke to some amazing local acts. the food was delicious and cheap, atmosphere warm and friendly. would recommend def.
We made ourselves dinner. ok, that was not a good time. a roaring firebox, karaoke (Friday evenings,) which actually had some quite decent singers, and many people rose up and had also a dance. you need a...assessment if eating is not the most important.
The place is only small but the ambience is appealing with live music on a saturday night, We could not book a table same day for dinner as it was booked out in advance. Standing room only for those who have not booked prior for...dinner and came only for the music, Having said that, the band (The Maynards) who placed that night was well received and most patrons stayed till closing time which was a bit after 11. Well deserved a visit for dinner and live music if you are looking for entertainment and find dining on a saturday night.
This is a cute little place always busy and sometimes a little bit loud, but the food delicious. I took my chef brother there for dinner one night and he said it's the best steak he has ever eaten to put it into...context, my brother has worked at The Press Club The Lake House. If you're down for a good steak, this is the place to go.
Eating here is great with everything that is served to perfection, great and a large menu cooked. a step up from the usual bar food and always well presented. the bands change every week and cover blues, rock, land and western and many other species....The staff are helpful and friendly. I'm a native, but I'd go to eat here. great warm fire in winter and have many friendly local dancing and fun. never seen any violence in 4 years regular participation.
