Contribute FeedbackAlishan Restaurant has received mixed reviews recently, with some customers disappointed in the quality of the food and portion sizes for the price. However, others have praised the range of flavors and textures, as well as the friendly and quick service. Some customers have had inedible dishes, while others have enjoyed perfectly cooked meals. The restaurant has also been recognized for offering a discount to NHS workers during the pandemic. Overall, Alishan seems to have both satisfied and dissatisfied customers, making it a hit-or-miss option for Indian cuisine.
Well very sadly we had a terrible experience here. It wasn’t the food or the staff although on hindsight they could have dealt with the situation that we experienced a lot better than they did. To explain to diners booking, this wasn’t to do with the restaurant and the food. After we had ordered our food (two women on a work trip) we became aware of a well dressed man constantly watching us from the bar, we both felt uncomfortable but tried to ignore it and continue our conversation. After a little while my colleague said I need to tell you something. Expecting a work related issue I listened in only for her to tell me that the man at the bar was exposing himself to her. I told the staff who said that he was a high profile client but they would deal with him. Our food arrived delicious but by this time the last thing we felt line was eating. He was still at the bar and they said they would move us. We said why should we move he should be removed and you should call the police, next to us was a table of 14/16 year old exchange students, thank goodness those girls didn’t have to witness what we did. The staff eventually moved him to another area, why they didn’t just remove him I don’t know. Five minutes later he was back and exposing himself again. Eventually they got him out of the restaurant altogether but did not take it any further. We did not eat our food, we paid a reduced price and left. An hour later after thinking it over more we wished we had just called the police the whole situation was disgusting the restaurant staff clearly knew him, stating that he was a very well known estate agent who was married to a solicitor, clearly he will Need help. Not the restaurants fault at all but we felt that they should have taken the situation more seriously than they did.
Lovely food. Rubbish service given it took 90 minutes to receive food. The attitude at paying the bill was unbelievable. The young guy behind the bar needs a few lessons in customer service!! Go elsewhere as there are other choices Indi18 for one.
I have only ever ordered delivery from this restaurant and have not dined in yet. The food always exceeds expectations and is our favorite in Tonbridge. My only complaint is that the past two deliveries have been missing items from the order. This was easily resolved through JustEat, but I hope they can double check orders before shipping to avoid any future issues. Looking forward to dining in next year.
Very interesting menu options and tasty food. Good service too. I drive past a few other Indian restaurants to get to this one.
After trying three different curry restaurants in the span of nine days, we saved the best for last. Five of us went to celebrate my son's birthday, making a booking over the phone was easy, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We are already planning to return for another visit. It's a pity that there weren't more people in the restaurant, as their food deserves to be appreciated by a larger audience.
