I had an evening meal here with a friend with whom I was staying in Adelaide before going to the nearby cinema. I had the gnocchi which was dicious and my friend thoroughly enjoyed the crab risotto. The service was good and staff friendly. An enjoyable experience altogether. View all feedback.
What Freida Mann dislikes about Grimaldi's Restaurant:
There was little evidence of care and enthusiasm for the food at this restaurant. We chose pizzas which were barely edible - cardboard pastry, little flavour, mean quantities of topping. And throwing a handful of rocket on top of a dry pizza just isn't good enough for a restaurant that charges above average prices. The service was disinterested - even in a near-empty restaurant no one was checking on wine and water. My wife and I took a friend visiting from Greece and and had a wonderful night. Although the restaurant was busy the service was very fast and the staff were very friendly. Our friend who likes his Greek and Italian food gave high praise on the pasta and Lamb he had. I had the duck special and it was very good. We will certainly be returning customers
Went in to the place not knowing what to expect. The restaurant is in a strip mall. However the food was very good and reasonably priced. My only complaint, some items like pizza are only available on the weekends. Still worth a visit.
We called in here after the movies, they were so welcoming and the new owners were very friendly and the new menu is sumptuous. Good idea to book before you go up to the movies, as it's very popular for after movie dinners.
Stopped in here for dinner. Half an hour after we'd ordered, having seen everyone else served, we asked where our dinner was... apparently a "system error" had seen our order not sent through the kitchen. We were out of time so cancelled the order; they still had the gall to charge us for our drinks despite wasting our time.
Great location and great coffee, adjacent Burnside Village & Trak Cinema. The menu changes have brought some new highlights - today beingwarm roasted baby figs, topped with generous prosciutto ....supposedly as a bruschetta. It would have been gorgeous, if only lovely sourdough or such was used, but their bread was not suitable for toasting, mine was burnt, but the figs/prosciutto were yum.
