We stopped in for drinks after dinner. The variety of sakés available was truly impressive. They offer 3-shot taster groupings that allow you to taste and compare. Definitely worth a try. Service was pleasant and easy-going but efficient. View all feedback.

If you're in the neighbourhood and hungry this isn't a bad choice - but it is not a place we would go out of my way to visit. I frequent this place very often. Love their food and service. Their smokey hay salmon and tuna is incredible. So is the beef carpaccio, and croquettes.
Servers are very nice and polite, this place offers more cooked dishes than raw fish choices, tried their hamachi and BC tuna - both good and fresh, along with 3 other dishes, for about $70 including tax and gratuity. Prices are reasonable for a good Japanese restaurant in T.O downtown. This place does remind me of some of those I had visited in Japan in terms of setup and atmosphere.
I've been looking for a curiosity, but I'm very big. Sashimi or sushi ingredients are limited, and they have a variety of Japanese dishes, and their employees are friendly, but they are difficult to see food is wonderful. This is a great place to stay in Toronto.
The restaurant is an isakaya style restaurant where the waiters yell the order out to the kitchen and the kitchen replies. I go here for lunch usually. The food is affordable and always fresh. I recommend their chirachi.Overall good value for the money and a great and accessible location downtown for anyone visiting the city and in the mood for Japanese food.

In fairness, though, the generous pieces of pork belly were delicious - seared nicely and just the right proportion of tender meat and melt in your mouth fat.The ginger chicken appetizer has no discernible ginger, but the crunchy batter was great and the chicken was moist. The beef tataki was nicely done and probably the best part of our meal.
