This restaurant is fast food Vietnamese.Place is very busy at lunch time between 11:30am-2:30pm.If you come between this time pretty much anytime of the week you will be waiting in line to order, and for limited seating. The food, from fresh and deep fried apps to Pho noodles and rice dishes, food is cooked fresh. What User dislikes about Ginger Restaurant:
So, not my first choice on this strip...just to be clear. It seems a far cry from when it first opened, but it will do in a pinch, if you need a quick nosh. Decent food, and it's ready fast fast, but, if you eat in it's noisy and only reasonably clean. View all feedback.
The ONLY reason it doesn't get 1 star is the fact it is cheap. Some of the very worst Vietnamese food we have ever had, anywhere, anytime. Ridiculous because we went based on the reviews here. Who are you people and what do you eat???Before you even sit down someone brings the plate of vile, chewy, fleshy beef and the dry boring sides and rice it comes with. It's scoop and serve food at its worst. If you are in a hurry for quick slop then go ahead. The Pho looked watery and boring too.Sorry for the tough review but this place is awful. In fact I've gone 1 star. The cashier/manager couldn't even offer a smile come to think of it.
Yum yum yum!! Order the fresh rolls to go! They are delish!! The service is quick and good. And the food is SO cheap! I wish fresh rolls were $1.50 everywhere!!!
I really like this place because the prices are reasonable and the food is simple, yet delicious. I went to Ginger today for the first time in 2 years and the prices hadn't changed at all. I had a small rare beef Phó and it was great.
Terrific quickly prepared Thai food. Eat in or to go. We tend to order several dishes and take them home to share. The value is extraordinarily good and we have yet be disappointed with anything. Although the mango salad is usually good we have had a couple of occasions when it was really under ripe. THe cooks have a special technique of slicing thin shrimp so that it looks as though there are more of them. I recall reading in a novel somewhere that a landlady in a British Band B sliced tomatoes like that getting possibly 25 slices from one red sphere. Consequently we have always called any item that is offered is a particularly skimpy fashion, to be " a B and B special". It is unfair to say anything negative about this place. Even the tables are kept clean for those who eat in house. In case the names of dishes are confusing good large pictures are put on the walls to help your selection; that way I never get to know the real names of anything I eat, but whatever it is is good! I am not keen on the way they open the wide windows in the summer heat. That stops me from eating there, but as we live nearby that isn't a problem. I thoroughly recommend this for families, students, couples of all ages and anyone who enjoys this kind of food. The prices are good and the quality great for the money- except for the Band B shrimp.
Wonderful flavours, taste and ingredients. Cheap great grub for those on a budget. I had seafood bowl and a fresh spring roll it all tje dishes looked great
