This restaurant was a disappointment in terms of food and service. I can't remember the last time I put salt on a restaurant meal but I sure did on this one. I had the grilled chicken wrap and coleslaw and both were bland. At no point did someone come to our table to ask if the food was alright. I finished maybe half of my meal and when the server came to get my plate she asked if I wanted the rest boxed up. I said n... View all feedback.
Went for lunch with my broker. Quick service, good flavours, good drinks selection. You'll need a reservation at lunch. Prices are high, but not hot for that part of town. This isn't three star quality. It's a business pub. Relatively attentative service. Staff can be forgetful.

No one came to ask about it, no courtesy discount, no free cup of coffee nothing. I will not return to this restaurant.
I haven't left a review on this website for over a year, but I felt compelled to come back in order to write a review of a particularly bad lunch my work colleagues and I had. There were six of us all together. Three of us ordered pizzas. I believe that these were the worst pizzas ever made. Extremely dry crusts and toppings were the order of the day, As we are not the complaining types, we asked for some marinara sauce in a bowl to dip our pizzas into. We also tried dipping our pizzas into the oil and vinegar on the table. I tried both and these attempts to help didn't help much. I choked once, but survived! Two of us ordered salmon with salad. From what I heard, the salmon was tasty, but we all kind of laughed at how small the portions were, and also at the unequal sizes of the two orders. (One got a quasi normal sized piece, and one got child sized! From the accounts I heard, the accompanying salads were pre dressed and oily. Overall, I think I deserve a pat on the back for trying to eat the pizza, but I wouldn't risk it if I were you Dr. Heimlich passed away a couple weeks ago.
I must have passed on King street near this restaurant hundreds of times, but never thought to make the turn on Victoria street to see it. It is quite small, but still has an intimate feeling to it. I was there with 2 of my girlfriends for an early dinner after work) and it was very quiet when we first went in, but people started coming in later. The staff is so friendly and fun to interact with! We shared a 3 dip pita plate as an app and I had the chicken brie crepe which came with a small salad) with a large glass of Shiraz. The food wine was very good! The only complaint I had was that the crepe was too small... : It was delicious! My friend on the other hand had the calzone and that one was huge! I also had a macchiato and we all had dessert, which was also great. Because we don't see each other very often, we sat there talking for a total of 4 hours... This was a good hour after we had already paid our bill! We were watching that we weren't holding anyone back, but there was other tables available so we took out time. In any case, the staff was still amazing! Not once did we feel rushed or like we had to leave because we'd finished out meal. THAT I can greatly appreciate, so THANK YOU! I would most definitely recommend and will likely return again as it was a very pleasant experience.
Our group of seven arrived at the Metropolitan on a Thursday evening. The three staff members were friendly. They had very little to do as the place was almost empty. Three out of the five thin crust pizzas ordered were burnt and unappetizing. The talapia was mediocre at best. While we were finishing our dinner, we noticed that the staff were doing shots at the bar! Even though it was a very slow night (which is unusual for a Thursday in downtown Toronto), that is pretty unprofessional. We won't be back.
