We are leaving Momofuku now and planning to come back before we leave Toronto. The food is so good and the service is exceptional! The presentation and the taste are out of this world. I highly recommend this restaurant for Asian food lovers. We orders the extremely spicy noodles and the chicken and BBQ buns. We also orders the coliflower and it was excellent. The sewer from the bar is heavenly. An extraordinary expe... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Momofuku Nikai:
This is part of the Momofuku building which includes multiple restaurants. Located on the second floor, this is the closest to a bar with food. We sampled cocktails, buns and ramen. The chicken bun was good and everything else was OK. Actually, the cocktails were somewhat disappointing - really watered down. The service was very friendly. Since this is connected to the hotel where we stayed, it would have warranted a... View all feedback.
Pork buns were awesome. Ramen bowls were too - and doesn't break the bank! A very nice atmosphere as well.
Recently came here for a birthday with a large group of 15. The reservation process was amazing, and followed up with all the questions I had to make the night go smoothly. Food service was fast and came at just the right moment-- and it was a really busy night too! Bills were split accurately and efficiently. Amazing menu available on the second floor with just the right amount from the Noodle Bar and Shoto. The waiter we had was EXTREMELY patient and accommodating, even asked if any of us had dietary restrictions (noticed a few of us were Muslim and the menu has a lot of pork items, this was very kind of him to do so! Really wish I could remember his name..)Overall great experience and definitely plan on hosting any upcoming dinners with friends here! Ps. Shrimp buns are out of this world.
Came here with a large group of friends for dinner and we ordered two large orders of the fried chicken and the pork buns. We loved the atmosphere and the service! The food is unbelievably delicious! Absolutely cannot wait to come back another night. Make sure to make a trip to the milk bar after dinner to indulge yourself (and put on a few extra pounds)!!
Momofuku has 3 floors, with a noodle bar on the first floor, and a high end restaurant on the 3rd floor. We ate on the second floor which offers food from both with casual seating. Chef David Chang is the founder of the Momofuku family of restaurants and this one did not disappoint. The cocktail menu is the first indication of an inventive menu. We were with a group and tried just about all of them, and not a single complaint. Our scottish waiter/bartender was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about food and drinks.I was advised to start with the greentea egg for an appetizer, and it was the most amazing egg I have ever eaten in my life. The flavors in each bite are almost indescribable, however the menu describes it as having kimchi mayo, furikake and scallion. Fortunately Momfuku is near the Toronto Hilton where I usually stay so I see more of those eggs in my future. Everyone at the table ended up getting one and all agreed. For dinner I ordered the hangar steak, and was not asked how i wanted that cooked, because they already know how to cook it perfectly! It was amazing beef with lettuce leaves, kimchi, some sauces, meant to be wrapped together. Fantastic! We shared some sides of cauliflower bhaji which my description won't do it justice, it appeared to have a curry or something similar on it, and was great. We also had some nugget potatoes, which again was hard to describe other than being little nuggets of deliciousness! Our group did order desserts but after the meal, I could not try them but everyone raved about them. Overall, an amazing experience for the taste buds, in a fun atmosphere with great service!
My husband and I went to Momofuku Nikai for some drinks and a light meal and it was divine!! We ordered a Sparklegroni and Slushy Negroni off of their Negroni menu and the drinks were very interesting, although perhaps a touch bitter for our taste. The lounge was very cute, overlooking the street and the bar service was excellent. We shared the pork buns and ginger shitake noodles from the noodle bar and both were delicious!! As we left, we ordered a small cereal milk and fried apple pie ice cream with corn flakes on top and it was also excellent. We cannot wait to go back and sample more of their drinks and try more noodle dishes. A great night with delicious food and excellent service.
