I was hesitant to get food from here given the reviews but it was a seamless process. I called them and placed my order. Picked it up in 10 mins. Tastes really good the lady was super nice. Good experience. No wait. Chicken fried rice and sesame chicken was amazing View all feedback.
What King Watsica doesn't like about China Garden:
It seems like this place has been opened for quite a while so my husband and I decided to try it. We didn't have very high hopes as it's usually not busy and now we know why. The food tastes like frozen boxed Chinese that has been microwaved in the back. Anything breaded or fried is soggy and unappetizing. I threw the food away. It's too bad because it would be nice to have a decent Chinese takeout option in town. View all feedback.
I have ordered from here a few times when I was lacking places to order from. they are the typical old style Canadian Chinese food - which is good and the prices are reasonable.
Good food and fast call ahead then pick-up.1 0% off you you pay cash. The breaded shrimp are great:) Order early on a friday or sat to busy may have to wait.
This has always been my favourite Chinese food restaurant, great selection and it delicious! The egg rolls are great!
Ordered food last night from here, food was ready when I picked up, service was friendly. Prices are average. Total of 38.00 Not a bad start.I ordered 2 egg rolls, 2 vegetarian spring rolls, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, almond soo guy and the Dragon Phoenix. They gave us a dish of white rice for free which was very unexpected and nice.Egg rolls were good, but the spring rolls tasted like pure black pepper and were inedible. So we ate the egg rolls and threw away the spring rolls. Hot and sour soup was ok but the wonton soup had zero taste. Tasted like eating overcooked pasta in water. The wonton filling also had zero taste. The Dragon Phoenix was better than average with extra large portions. The chicken for the almond soo guy was fine but the sauce was so salty and disgusting we threw it away. The sauce tasted as though they mixed hoisen sauce with soy sauce and cooked it on the stove for 8 hours. Absolutely terrible. So we were left with saucesless chicken with 6 almonds on top. I'm aware that fast good will be greasy and salty, overloaded with msg but this sauce was even too salty and disgusting for fast food. Overall we were happy with 50% of our order so I'm just glad the food was inexpensive. I'd say a definite hit and miss
The China Garden has been around a long time. The first impression when walking into this restaurant is Gross. It needs a good cleaning, paint job and staff could be trained a lot better. Wait times are horrible if picking up....told half hour but you wait an hour.....and no one seems to give a ****. Although the appearance is somewhat disturbing the food is actually very good. There is really no other good Chinese take out restaurants around.
