Le Comptoir de Bacchus - Toulouse

Stopped here looking for a lunch between sightseeing. We had a two course set lunch menu which was stunning. Had the local delicacy Toulouse sausage for main washed down with house wine. The staff were so attentive, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We were looking for Spanish tapas but this place is more of a mix of mostly French food. Service and ambience was nice (place was busy but we didn't care waiting). The magret du canard was perfection!!!

I came by this place by accident on a cold December evening. I was looking for a wine bar, and this seemed to tick the boxes. The welcome was friendly and efficient. Without looking at any menu, I asked for a glass of red, enquired if they did an assiette / plat of cheese ( and they did). I enquired further about WiFi and was quickly given the password. Sitting supping my wine whilst taking I my surroundings, I was aware of the place's popularity - all French. My assiette of cheese arrived in a little wooden tray with some toast and salad. I had already been also provided with a basket of bread before hand. Not really fresh, however. I enjoyed my fare, and was able to check my e-mails before finishing and paying my bill - 11€ +. A bit steep, I thought. I wouldn't rush back but the experience was pleasant.

I went to the downstairs tapas bar, which does look the part, well decorated and good music, and generally a nice welcome.Unfortunately the tapas was nothing to write home about, greasy calamaris, small prawns and deep fried Toulouse sausage. I wouldn't go again to eat.

Accidentally found on our way home from Visit- we struggled a bit the first day when we didn't know that service of food stops for some Time during the day.
