What Alena Torphy doesn't like about Dolce Vita Italian Bistro:
First, I called to make a reservation and the guy tells me they don't take reservations. We get to the restaurant and the first words out of the lady's mouth, guess... Then she argues with me when I tell her what the guy on the phone said. Ok, so the calamari was frozen strips that were poorly fried it was a greasy mess and the marinara was flavorless. Just brilliant. I also love to go to a place and immediately recognize a man and a woman who together lead a restaurant. it is fabulous eating.
Just what I was hungry for. Authentic Italian! Not Olive Garden. Quaint, small restaurant with tables inside and on a patio.I had the vegetable lasagna. The sauce was fabulously seasoned. The vegetables included broccoli, spinach, carrots and celery.The wine list offered a good selection at reasonable prices.Last, I love they are hands on' owners. Warm, friendly and attentive.Definitely recommended!
Gnocchi was delicious. the flan and tiramisu was big and yummy you could share.
Found them on google. Went there because they served Escargot. Wow, what a surprise. The food was old world Italian. Creamy Alfredo, great Italian chicken salad and wonderful Escargot. The owners are really nice people and seem to be all about great service. They also have outside seating if like that sort of thing. This is a great place and I will be back. Highly recommend!
Firstly: this is a rather small establishment however do not under any circumstances let that dissuade you. Secondly: the food is absolutely amazing!!! Wonderfully fresh and bursting with rich authentic flavour. The best meal I have enjoyed in a long time. I would list this delightful little venue as a “hidden gem”. If you find yourself in Tuscon, AZ Looking for a nice enjoyable meal (Lunch dinner) you will be thankful you stopped in. Cheers ?
