We came here for a late lunch (around 4 PM) last Saturday. There were nine people at our reserved long table at the end of the dining room. Outside and inside traditional a traditional "cozy" style prevailed. Inside were tables, comfortable chairs, lots of wood, and a relaxed mix of customers (students and older people). There was no "canned" music and conversation was easy. The service was very good. My husband and... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wurstkuche:
We had decided to eat German food wherever possible on our recent holiday. While in Tuebingen we eventually chose the Wurstkueche because of the range of Swabian dishes. A week later I can only go by the bill to check what we ate: a Schnitzel, a Waldhaeuser and a Zipfl, all of which were adequate but not memorable. The son munched his way through his main course and his first Apfelstrudel of the trip - the custard wa... View all feedback.
On August this year old very very unfriendly and grumpy, angry, skinny waiter or owner greeted us with “we usually don’t accept people for a large table it’s not economical. (they don’t have small tables anyway). We were asked to...fill up the contact tracing. We filled it up with just a number and left the address blank. We know from the German gov’t that one must only put a contact number and not email address or home address for data protection. Suddenly this grumpy angry unfriendly year old man started barking to us like a mad dog for not providing the home address. So we left and promised not to come back to this restaurant with super bad and rude customer service. He just showed us what kind of a person is he uneducated and doesn’t treat people with respect and dignity. We will not come back to this restaurant called Wurstküche. It should be called WORST KITCHEN
We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday evening with a limited time frame. Fortunately the service was efficient and our goal was comfortably met. If you enjoy mixing with tourists ,students and such as us ,a local retired couple you will feel comfortable in the...rustic wooden clad rooms. I missed the previous menu which was an amusing cultural statement. It's been replaced by a smarter card. Is this the reason for the increase in price? I chose a tasty vegetarian dish which apart from the creamy potatoes consisted of standard vegetables. It seemed pretty steep at ca. euros. I enjoyed the elderflower "Schorle and would consider another visit to allow more time and see how the Spätzle are
Located in old town in Tübingen (Germany) the Wurstkuche restaurant is a best option for eat food in Germany style! Awesome flavor, and excellent service in beautiful place
My wife and I love this place. Delicious Swabian cuisine in hearty portions; best we had in Tubingen. Service was amazing, since only one server was working a very crowded room. She managed with efficiency and smiles. Linsen (lentils) and sausage a classic. Since it...was September they provided a special fall menu along with a special beer for the season—I recommend it highly. Their website says that reservations aren’t necessary for parties of fewer than six. When you walk in, you might not believe it. But they’ll find you a seat, perhaps at a table, family style, with a friendly local
Must-try wild pig, very good the rest as well. The food is very local and tasty. A little pricy but not too much. Maybe not an every day stop. Spent euro in beers included
