Found on HC app. What a cool place. They were busy when we got here about noon on Saturday. The menu says vegetarian but it’s completely vegan. We tried 4 of the small dishes. All were tasty. Satey app, dumpling, rice and mushroom dish. View all feedback.
Best vegan food in Mendocino County. Excellent food, great prices, and very casual atmosphere. I eat here whenever possible. It's ok to bring your own to go containers.
So good and homely food at a very fare price. Server are super friendly.
We visited on June 17, just a short time after the reopening. The place was busy on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm. We ordered the dumplings, the stir-fried Malaysian curry noodles, and the stir-fried udon noodles. The dumplings had a hint of ginger. The curry noodles tasted of curry powder rather than being blended with other ingredients to make a curry, but it was still good. I liked the udon noodles best. The dishes seemed slightly less greasy than standard American-style Chinese food, and the flavors were tasty despite the lack of onion and garlic. Total for the 3 dishes was $24--a nice price. To visit the restaurant, you are supposed to register at the main office. We'd love to see outdoor seating for this restaurant. Only open for lunch--wish they had expanded hours. Cash only. The place is worth the short detour off the 101. Recommended. Updated from previous review on 2023-06-20
Where else can you feed two very hungry people a very late lunch at 2:45 in the afternoon for under $20? I 'm talking two entrees and two appetizers, folks this place is a BARGAIN. Sure, the food isn 't the best vegan or the best Chinese food I have ever had but it is definitely in the top 10 of Chinese restaurants in Northern California for me, and gets on my top 20 list of favorite on the road restaurants. The place is crawling with gorgeous and tame peacocks just go straight in and take a left after the big temple on your left. If you 're on a motorcycle don 't stop at the entry to ask directions because they 'll tell you motorcycles are dangerous and you need to park in the first lot (which my friend and I did but it was 105 degrees and I promise you, it would have been better for our health to drive up to the restaurant instead of walking 3/4 mile in full gear and no shade twice since we had to go back to where we were parked . The servers were darling the food came quickly and the options are endless. I was satisfied with everything I tried and can 't wait to go back again to properly review the menu. Sadly, they are only open for lunch what 's up with that, right? If you missed lunch, go to Ruen Tong in Ukiah for a most excellent Thai dinner with tons of vegan options (try the pad prikh kling! .
One of few restaurants serving food without onions and garlic.
