Beautiful location. Friendly staff, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. The Black Angus was tasty, the potatoes were lukewarm so they were returned. They were fried again and came back hot but far too greasy. Wrong drinks from others on the bill and the fact that we had to wait more than 30 minutes before the food was served was disappointing. Been to urk, the Netherlands 2 times, and I love this restaurant. Beautiful view of the lake and personnel is friendly.

Urk is a nice small town seaside in north of the Netherlands. Unfortunately we was late on a not sunny Saturday Evening.Not much opend in Town, so we find this small restaurant near to the lighthouse. A extreme friendly young, dutch waitress invited us to enter the Restaurant. Orderes Drinks, later the Food. Prices in a mid to up Range, but you need to accept because in Summer this will be a tourism hotspot, and also the quality of food was excelent. Steak with side-dishes as fries, asparagus and very tasty fried potato. As the waitress told, this is the only restaurant nearly always open everyday, including sundays in Urk.
