Udupi Restaurant - Vadodara

One of the most under rated places in Vadodara. If you want consistency, quality and great taste at fair price. This is the place to be.. I eat here very often. Try the mysore masala dosa and sada masala dosa.

My regular Sunday breakfast go to place. Simple, straightforward, and brilliant. They serve good food, and that's all. South Indian food they serve is so fulfilling I overeat every damn time. The seating area is huge, doesn't feel suffocating, the seats are comfortably spaced as well. The guy who runs the place is so efficient, he switches on the fan when you sit down and switches it right off when you leave. Respect.

If you're craving some South Indian and are in the karelibaug or fathegunj area, hop to this place without a second thought. Also, stick to ordering the South India dishes such as dosas and idli's. They won't let down.

I usually prefer mornings to visit there to have scrumptious Idli/Vada Sambar or even Dosas for a heavy breakfast. Their Sambar is too good, that makes craving more for it. In dosas, Mysore Masala Dosa are a must try there. The place is quite old and it is not moderated yet since years, so one may feel it's an old restaurant already seeing old style tables and chairs. But food department is unrelated to the ambience. As there is not that much rush and the place rather being a big as well to accommodate around 50 pax at a time, the service is fast and prompt. They also serve Punjabi dishes to say, but their South Indian is a gala menu. It is sure a one time try for one's sound and free mornings to visit there and have their delicious South Indian food.
