Great restaurant run by a French couple that escape the city. Pascale is a great host and Thierry the chef is fantastic. Their son also works in the kitchen. The food is fantastic. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Table des Gourmets:
We had nicoise salad. It came scattered on the plate. Not great. The shrimp entree was good, The lamb arrived overcooked, dry, and lukewarm. The vegetable plate was flavourless. Desert looked great but was not memorable. Would never go back again. View all feedback.
This is my preferred stop in the Laurentides look no further if you are into having a gastronomique experience the best of the best of the region.
We go there on a regular basis. Never disappointed, one of the best in Laurentides. The cost vs value is excellent and this is really a high end place.
We were in the mood for a Friday lunch while near Val David and had read about La Table des Gourmets and away we went. What a delightful setting, great service, warm and engaging owner...and...a menu of true gastronomic treats. The lunch selections are so well priced for the quality of ingredients. All locally sourced we wee told with extreme pride. The plates presented were true works of art, beautifully plated and attention to detail was evident. We had the Risotto and the Duck as mains and the Pain Perdue as desserts. A M A Z I N G !!! Simply divine. Yes, one of the best dining experiences this author has ever had...yes...true We shall go back in a heart beat. When one thinks about what we have as choices for lunch these days, a new standard has been set. Bravo to the professional tream at La Table !!!!! Merci beaucoup !!!!
While staying in mt Tremblant we decided to explore local villages so on a Sunday we went to Val david. This restaurant was highly recommended by a local shipowner and a customer said it was a top restaurant in all of Canada! Well , I wouldn't go that far but our gazpacho and galettes were excellent! They were crispy and delicious. I had the Jamion, oeuf and fromagge while my husband had the oeuf and sausage! For desert we shared a pastry with strawberry and peach sauce! Yum! Service was a little slow but air was fresh and free so we sat and enjoyed! Village of Val David is charming!
I visited on a Tuesday at 6:00 pm and it was surprisingly quiet. The waitress apologized for her poor English but my French was worse and we managed to communicate with some good humour throughout the evening. The food was outstanding. The prices are not inexpensive....about $60.00 for just one....but I did not begrudge the cost.
