Fallowfields - Vale of White Horse

I can confidently say that this was one of the best meals I have had in Oxfordshire, and we enjoyed it in the sunny garden at the back of the hotel. It was a delightful experience.

Food reasonably good. General ambience poor and practically noboby having lunch there on a wednesday which may be significant. Prices both for wine and food are high. Car Park very scruffy. Staff do not make you relaxed

Very impressed as hadn 't been here for a very long time and the food has gone very upmarket since. Both our meals were faultless and wonderful. The little 'in between ' courses are a lovely addition and attention to the fact I had mentioned I don 't eat meat was much appreciated. Service was just right for long leisurely lunch and we were left to make our way out after our meal without hurry so we could enjoy the view from the gardens and very tasteful lounge. It 's definitely not cheap but it is most certainly worth every penny!

Wonderful meal. Stunning food, really good service, beautiful crockery, rather expensive so not an every day food experience. The decor could be updated (particually the lounge furniture), but a beautiful location. The tables in the dining room are really well spaced for individual, private dining in a large room.
