Joe's serves a moderately priced breakfast that is very, very good. The staff was efficient and thoughtful. I had the hash and my wife a gluten free meal with eggs. Joe's serves a healthy portions of healthy, well prepared meals. The cost is relatively moderate. It's not super swanky but very comfortable. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Joe's Cafe:
Joe's Cafe is truly a relic from another era, although you could hardly say the place has weathered the years that well, not that it was ever posh. If you want a view into the Drive's proto-ethnic underbelly from the days of yore, this is the place to be. It seems that Joe himself and his cohorts haven't changed an iota over the decades either. Demographic and adaptive challenges aside, make no mistake - Joe's still... View all feedback.
I've been here several times and of course you will find the best Cappuccino here! Love that place

I attended the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Assn Saturday coffee meeting from to on Saturday May and enjoyed a good coffee and a snack. Conversations were worth the visit. If you are not sure, as William and he will direct you to the...Electric Vehicle group in the other room without the pool tables.
"The best cappucino in town" is written in front of you, when you see this place. And that's true. An authentic italian cappucino, in a portugese bar. The latte is also amazing. And the staff friendly.
This is the old authentic Cafe prior to gentrification of Commercial Drive. If you want an experience of multiculturalism, queer friendly, laid back Europian style coffee and eats, then come to Joes Cafe. It's rough exterior belies the warmth and inclusivity inside. Watch soccer, drink coffee or beer, portugeses bun sandwiches (yum)! and join the cheers of soccer watching or sit at your computer using the free WIFI. It is the Commercial Drive experience. This is Not the plastic sterility of overpriced Starbucks. As a woman, lesbian, who has been coming to Joes for 25 years, I can guarantee a fun positive experience. You must experience the cappuccino and lattes. And perhaps learn some Portugese.
