Meat City barely qualifies as a restaurant appearing to be not much more than a canteen. There's some tables inside and a couple outside but I suspect most people get their food to go. The staff look more like dock workers than restaurateurs and we almost left without ordering especially when we were told several of the items on their menu were not available. We settled for 2 beef dips with chips. Our expectations wer... View all feedback.

Seen some good reviews so decided to eat lunch there recently. We arrived well before 12 pm and there was only one customer ahead of us and nobody at any of their tables. We provided our orders quickly. The two sandwiches and kettle chips took more than 20 minutes to be ready. Wow, this is for sandwiches during a time when they were not busy. We noticed the customers after us waited the same amount of time. We had a... View all feedback.
THE BEST Sandwich in Vancouver No doubt!! I absolutely love these place and eat there at least once a week!! The meat is incredibly tasteful and juicy, and the beef au jus is to die for!! It's definitely my fav place to eat! Btw, the service is always great too!! They're always very nice and helpful!
Was visiting from the U.S. Passed by Meat City on my way to another restaurant and was intrigued so returned for dinner the following evening. The food was incredible, as was the service. Had a sampling of all the meats and it was all great. Fell in love with the macaroni and cheese. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend Meat City and would definitely eat there again.
The prime rib is amazing. Definitely worth a second visit!
I had a great Bashaw Beef Sandwich with flavourful Mac N' Cheese. I highly recommend their sandwiches. Great portions with a relaxed vibe. You'll love it if you like food, you'll hate it if you desire pretentiousness.
I must say, this whole Foodee delivery sure does make blogging a whole lot easier, especially when work and life are in overdrive with way too many things going on at once. Wednesday rolled around again which means another Foodee delivery, and thankfully the person in charge of our office deliveries is continuing the trend of ordering from new places. Sandwiches seem to be one of the main foods Foodee delivers and generally they’re pretty damn good, each place with their own unique take on sandwiches. So when I saw Meat City appear in the email detailing what to expect this week I was curious to learn more about them. I’d already heard a little about them online, reading something a while back about a pair of CFL players who teamed up with yet another chef who was on MasterChef Canada to open up a new sandwich shop in the west end. This was on the list of places to visit, so this just made my life a whole lot easier.
