Funky diner. The place was PACKED. I had the club sandwich, and I added cheddar cheese to it. It was yummy. The potatoes were a bit 'meh ', but that 's what ketchup is for. : The servers and manager seemed really nice. View all feedback.
What miguelbob doesn't like about Roundel Cafe:
It's priced on the high side with breakfasts starting $15, but what's weird is the extra $1.50 for toast on several meals. Food was good, but not up to paying $17-19 a brekkie. If you're going for 2 people, and with ordering coffee, anticipate around $50 with taxes. Too costly, and ironically this East Van is not in an expensive neighbourhood! View all feedback.
I enjoy it here. delicious and delicious vegan options.
I live in the neighbourhood and I love the roundel (mostly) but the only vegan option is the Tofu cube. it's really fantastic. I guess you can veganize the huevos rancheros, but I did this and it's boring. I can also not eat gluten, so the tofu burger is unfortunately not a way for me. I also do not recommend having the potatoes for their meal. I had speck in my kartoffels. they apologised to me and informed me that they were cooked right next to the meat, so that I am always for the organic brown rice instead. Unfortunately, the last two times I went, they put kartoffels on my teller instead of rice. I also noticed that the portion sizes always decrease so easily. I went with my parents recently and my mother had only 4 kartoffels with her brunch. all in all, it is a large small place with good eating, but it only needs a few more vegan options. I know at least 2 of the server there is vegan, why not add some options?
The tofu scrambble is amazing, and very filling. veggie blt and tofu burger are both good, but ask for no milk (butter or the mayo) and sub for guac. there is also a choice to add veggie ham (it tastes like it could be yves brand, but I still have to ask to make sure that they are so difficult, I wish maybe they are in the near future more open for vegan decisions!
I've been here for three years. they have a great breakfast in the offer. Previously he went to slickity jim’s on main and discovered this place right at me. they offer a small salad with their breakfast, good roasted yams and kartoffels and a very good coffee to boot! they only pull back to come when they arrive at sat or sun tomorrow after 10:00. the service here is in order. I have read a complaint in the west ender timeung in vancouver, but they really try to help them. it is not vegetarian, however, so my kosher abiding husband cannot eat here..boo hoo!
It's hard to find a real Mexican food and the prices are really good! This is so good for brunch or dinner The services are 10/10 they are...
