Sing Kee Restaurant - Vancouver

I am only concerned about the quality of the food, not the ambiance or the service. I must say, the food at this restaurant was surprisingly excellent, comparable to that of a high-end Chinese restaurant. This was unexpected given the fact that the restaurant appears to be lacking in customers. It is a small, dimly lit, and somewhat sketchy establishment, with only one person serving, who even forgot to provide us with menus. However, the food was exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The chef appears to be experienced and skilled. Despite the high quality of the food, the prices were unbelievably cheap. I ordered a four-dish menu, which included soup, fried rice, and dessert. There were five of us dining, and we couldn't finish all the food. The total bill came to just $46, which works out to be around $11 per person including tax and tip. This place is a hidden gem. The only downside is that you may need to understand Chinese in order to fully navigate the menu, as some dishes are only listed in Chinese.

This restaurant puts a contemporary spin on traditional South-East Asian food, with a particular focus on Chinese cuisine. The head chef is always exploring new flavor combinations, which keeps diners intrigued and satisfied. Some may notice that the dishes are on the oily side, as is typical in Chinese cooking, but the staff is happy to adjust the amount of oil upon request. In general, I would definitely come back for more tasty meals.

Was woken up again by loud drunken yelling, followed by a neighbour asking them to please take their party elsewhere as people are trying to sleep.
