Contribute FeedbackSteamworks in Vancouver offers a varied, not top-tier beer selection and accommodating food requests. Although the special was unavailable early in the evening, the pub fare was fairly typical. Service was friendly, adding to a fun vibe despite noise due to a full house. Some diners were disappointed with overcooked salmon but praised the service and portion sizes. The location in Gastown lends itself well to a low-key dining experience. All in all, Steamworks impresses with good food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for both locals and travelers.
Caleb was very welcoming and the food was delicious.
We unfortunately had a noisy baby in the restaurant that the parents initially allowed to cry loudly, which was annoying. We attempted to move to the upper bar area, but it was too crowded. Thankfully, the baby quieted down once the parents received their food, after about 30 minutes of crying. To their credit, the parents did eventually walk the baby around after 15 minutes. It was disappointing that our reservation was disturbed. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. I had chicken fingers while my husband enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken wings. He really liked them! I would consider returning to the restaurant, as the poor atmosphere was not the fault of the establishment, but rather the parents' lack of control over their child.
Good food and service. Disappointed that I Made an open table reservation at an earlier time than desired because of availability and when I got to the restaurant, there were plenty of open tables.
Great burger, decent service and nice table on the patio. Only complaint was the dessert menu only had three options and two of them had coffee in them, which is disappointing if you don’t like coffee (as I don’t).
Great beer, great food and awesome atmosphere !! In the best location in Gastown, this place rocks
