I had one of the best experiences here on Christmas Eve. The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect. The chicken liver parfait, Brussels, lamb, and filet mignon were my highlights. It all cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Their drinks are fire too. Perfect date night View all feedback.
What Cordie Conroy doesn't like about American Beauty:
This place has a great outdoor seating area and the drinks are good. However, the steak is far overpriced for the quality and taste. Friend and I each had a steak and 2 drinks. She got filet and I got NY Strip. My steak was overcooked with almost no pink in the center, but the waitress told me That's our interpretation of medium My friend dipped hers in the steak sauce and bone marrow butter because she didn't feel i... The food at this restaurant is amazing. You have to try everything. We tried the Mac and cheese, the salmon steak, and the filet. If you only try one thing, make sure it's the Mac and cheese. It was the best we've ever had. The salmon was also incredible, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory seasonings with nuts. The filet could have been improved with a topping like bone marrow, but it was still tender and cooked perfectly. Don't miss out on this place!
Excellent restaurant with a couple of minor flaws. The steak knives are barely sharp enough to cut butter. And when we were first seated outdoors in the open area, the stink of sewage was in the air. They moved us to another table in the covered area, and that resolved that. But it's unfortunate because the open area had nice fire pits. Now for the good part, my favorite parts of the meal were the Lamb chops with spicy eggplant and tzaziki, the hash brown potatos, and the celery root. Although the NY steak was cooked to perfection, it was a bit chewy with parts of the fat getting stuck between our teeth. For appetizers, I really enjoyed the dipping sauce of the grilled asparagus as well as the maple sauce of the endive salad. The complimentary sparkling water was a nice touch. We ended up having dessert at home.
A little tired, laid back and quality food, prob not worth the price.
The waiter recommended a fantastic flatbread that was incredible. We also had the Three-Major Steak, which was the best steak I have ever had. It was definitely worth every penny.
