We went with high expectations of a memorable meal and left after one course! The decor is well done and the ambience low and reserved, however the whole set up of small portions of extreme flavours and high decoration was not either to our taste or to our wallet. The food we had was fine, but not as good as some of the special places I have been to in the UK. The portions were not sufficient if you were not prepared... View all feedback.

My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and planned on having a really nice evening. The menu is TAPAS style and size portions. This isn't clear and how it can become very expensive. However, we had a delicious bottle of wine, a three course (sort of) meal for about £105 for both of us. The service was brilliant, especially earlier on in the evening. Everything you eat is explained and it was a very enjoyable experience. We loved the food, strong Asian flavours, great ingredients, cooked really well. For the best flavours I recommend fish tacos, pork belly, beef noodles. The olives and desserts were the only good portion sizes and probably the reason why we left feeling full! There was a good atmosphere and we enjoyed the evening. However, I did feel a bit 'frowned upon' when asking for tap water!

The portions were not sufficient if you were not prepared to pay a fortune to be fed.The only plus side was an extremely nice German white at a reasonable price. As one of my friends said: "we went there so you didn't have to" Says it all
Went to the pot luck club last Wednesday and whilst the food was great the venue is lovely there are a couple of things that spoiled this experience. This restaurant is the sister restaurant of the cape town venue and the manageress who greater us was lovely. The waitress however was annoying beyond comprehension. The restaurant was quite and as a result she pretty much parked herself on our shoulders. After the slightest sip of water or wine we were topped up, it got to the stage that we suspected she might try to affect a top up whilst we actually drank. Attentive service is fine but this was excessive. I am not sure if this was an act of pretentiousness or taking the mickey, if only we had been served by the manageress then this would have received 4 stars. I have knocked a couple of points off as a result for service and one for price. 12CHF for a bottle of water when we simply asked for still water was not expected, the tap water here is as pure as you can get and we had to insist on tap water for the subsequent servings. You should enjoy this place if you don't mind paying for it and get a more pleasant server.
