Earls Kitchen + Bar - Vernon

We were in Vernon to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and was looking for a restaurant with something for everyone. This restaurant turned out to be a poor choice for us. As a someone who is medically required to follow a gluten free diet, there was nothing on the menu that was safe for me to eat. Even though they have a "gluten-aware menu", most of the offerings were prepared in the same fryer as food that contains gluten. For people who truly require a GF diet, the cross contamination from a shared fryer is enough to make us extremely sick. I was finally able to order a salad without the nuts. Not my idea of a great dining experience, since I can make salad at home at a fraction of the price. I have heard that some Earls have dedicated fryers for their GF selections, so I would try it again if that was the case; however, until that happens, my family and I will be dining elsewhere.

I always find Earls great for dinner and lunch. Service is generally great and servers friendly. Always nice ambiance.

Felt and looked like the usual earls BUT the food was not very good ice tea was weak AND the service was slow. Refills would of been great even though the iced tea was weak

Started with coffee. Sent back twice as cream each time curdled. Third time we opted for milk as they had no fresh cream product available. Server was not and did not make us feel like she cared.Ordered 3 appetizers to share. Picture attached. Was ok but the Hawaiian Coconut Prawns had no flavour and were served with a peach/mango tasting garnish. I think Hawaiian and pineapple comes immediately to my mind. No pineapple on this dish.To their credit the Calamari was very good. Will I go back .... no! They need some changes. Note, the coffee was never decucted from our bill.

We stopped at Earls for lunch on our way to a wedding. Food was pretty good. I had a Cajun chicken meal and my husband had chicken alfredo. Service wasn't the best. It took a long time for us to get our diet coke's - we were finished our meal and waiting for the bill before we got them. Then it took awhile to get the bill and pay for it. Probably not the best place to stop if you're in a rush. It was pretty empty so we thought it wouldn't be too bad.
