We ate on the terrace as the weather was toasty and had a delightful time with excellent service, delicious food, and a reasonable bill. I would definitely return. View all feedback.
What Francisca Gaona doesn't like about Le Chalet de la Foret:
Booked here for Dinner bed and breakfast, Beds are small so they put another single is for us which was fine. The evening meal was ok but very small portions and breakfast was a total disappointment we had to get our money back. The staff where rude not in the slightest bit helpful. The best bit about this place was the secure parking. View all feedback.

An attractive three star with friendly waitress service on flowery terraces – and a pool for those who need it. Second floor room in main building (no lift) a bit dark and no aircon, but OK. Usual breakfast buffet. Outdoor restaurant very good: regional influence, lentil starter fine but a little dull, pork delicious, tarte tatin a revelation. I’d come back.
Looks lovely but fails to deliver. Stopped en route through France. The vollaile (chicken) was unimaginative and in a plate of grey gloup. The chateaubriand steak with Roquefort sauce was requested ‘au point’ but was over cooked with not a hint of pink and a very strange texture, it’s replacement was better. My advice don’t bother
I've never eaten so badly while having a so-called tasting meal! at 33€90, first kir served warm! Then foie gras with no lukewarm limit presentation with a strange taste, only a blueberry decoration in 2 corners of the plate and a bigeille in the other two corners. Then we had taken some sander which is a great meal when it is well prepared, there served cold with a hint of insipid sauce (cashed by the fish) accompanied by a crushed potato, a spoon of red beet and in a tiny container about twenty peas without seasoning. cheeses nothing to say (no cooking !!!!) and in dessert a cup of 3 sorbets with a misery of whipped, my husband had taken a pear poached with saffron!!!!!! she was well poached but with what???????. In short, this restaurant does not deserve this snoring title and it does not come from us because the table next to it complains of the same problems. disappointed beyond everything. to the staff they will need to learn to smile and to be listening to the customers and not to consider them as enquirers that need to be served
Welcoming place. attentive staff. ideal for a step. The food is treated. It is not gastronomic but it is good and prices are very correct. It's really worth it for those who, like us, are allergic to sauerkrauts. Besides, it's close to the highway. I strongly recommend.
