Little difficult to find near Zaachila but worth the drive. Its a huge place and one of chef Rick Baylis' favorites. Looks like to would seat several hundred people at the wooden plank tables and tree trunk seats. The welcome mezcal was appreciated. The menu is overwhelming but we settled in the turístico plates, sampling wonderful Oaxacan foods. Prices were very reasonable. The barbacoa was sumptuous. View all feedback.

We came here on the Zaachila market day (Thursday) on our way into town, because we wanted to try the "gigantic" tlyudas they are "famous" for. Now we can say with confidence this is a tourist trap.200 pesos for what is basically an average tlyuda is absurd! You could get 4 tlyudas in the market for this price.
