Switch Knox City - Wantirna South

We visited this restaurant on a cold, rainy evening in Melbourne recently. The food was quickly ordered and delicious. We highly recommend paying a visit.

Our visit was nice. The food and service was good, the atmosphere vibrant. Reasonably priced. We enjoyed our dining experience .

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for a while now, but NEVER AGAIN after the most recent incident.Every time we go there, there is always a problem. A word to the wise... If you are ordering from the daily specials, check with the waitress to see if it is still available, then order really fast. The first time we went there, (pregnant) I had my heart set on a dish listed on the daily specials. When it came to order, I was told they had run out. The next time my husband and I attended, I asked if all the daily specials were available and I was told that they were. I ordered and about five minutes later, was told that they had run out. The next time we went, I ordered something off the normal menu. Sure enough, five minutes later, the waitress informed me that they had run out.In February this year, my husband booked a table for our lunch. Reluctantly, I went along. We ordered a platter with a variety of tapas style items. Surprisingly, they had it! Also on the platter was flat bread. About halfway through the platter, I took a bite of a piece of flat bread. After doing so, I looked down and noticed a short, grey, curly hair that had been baked into the bread. Yes, short and curly hair. Commence gagging. I showed the waiter the offending hair. He offered to replace it with some more flat bread. I asked to see that Manager, who apologised and offered more flat bread. Whilst gagging, I informed the Manager I could not eat any more from the platter. I told him that I would not play for the food. We then left and will never return.

Whenever i come here i always order the prawn salad and i always wonder why i continue to come back given how many other dining options there are at Knox Ozone now. The prawn salad is delicious however the other meals i've had were average. The customer service could be improved significantly as the staff seem uninterested in what they are doing and the smoking that is permitted in the outdoor area is absolutely disgusting. There is nothing worse than sitting outside in the fresh air eating a meal when cigarette smoke blows across your table continuously. Due to the smoking i will not to visit Switch again until the ashtrays are removed from the outdoor tables.

Switch is decent. It is always noisy and the food is good but not outstanding. It's your typical suburban restaurant experience.
