Contribute FeedbackBar Pilar has received mixed reviews from its patrons. While some had a terrible experience due to bad service, others loved the food and ambiance. The manager Ulysses and some waitstaff were heavily criticized, but General Manager Natalie was praised for her excellent service. A previous guest fondly remembered their brunch experience, particularly enjoying the eggs Benedict, while another appreciated the great selection of food and drinks. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and solid offerings were marred by poor coordination among the staff. Overall, Bar Pilar is a spot with potential but might need to improve its customer service.
My first going and I enjoyed the coziness feel. The food and service was great. Can't wait to go back with friends.
Terrible customer service by the manager Ulysses and the waiter upstairs (not the bartender). We ask him questions and he acts like we?re inconveniencing him. Asked him for our separate checks and he brings one and says he doesn?t separate checks and thenjust slaps the checks on the table. Now, Ulysses comes when we asked for a manager to share our experience and he just stares atus and says ?well is there anything else?? No apology or anything. This was a very weird and upsetting experience. NOW thegeneral manager, Natalie, is EVERYTHING. We love her energy and vibe which makes it weird that her staff doesn?t have the sameenergy. She is the ONLY reason why I?m leaving 3 stars. She definitely made it better.
From start to finish my experience was great! My friends and I had brunch here a few weeks ago and we all enjoyed it. Order the fried chicken and pancakes. They?re delicious!
The WORST experience. Upstairs bar was rude. Barely anyone in his section. Got my order wrong after we waited forever. Then waited again for my shrimp. Told us he would switch to hiphop when all the ?white? ppl leave. I actually enjoyed the music.Won?t be returning. I really didn?t even want to tip bc woah. Nice cup though.
Bar Pilar is a narrow bar with an upstairs dining room. We ate downstairs in the bar. It's a bar, so was a little noisy, but were still able to have a nice conversation. Service was excellent. The food was fantastic, both in presentation and how ittasted. We had the roasted vegetables, butter chicken and a dumpling appetizer all wonderful. The cocktails were tasty and hadenough alcohol in them to justify the price. I don't think you can go wrong eating here unless you are looking for someplacereally quiet. I never went upstairs.
