Contribute FeedbackBobby Van’s in DC is a mixed bag according to recent reviews. While some diners rave about the excellent service, warm hospitality, and delicious food like the shrimp cocktail and filet mignon, others were disappointed by slow service, outdated ambiance, and lackluster dishes. The prices were a point of contention, with some feeling it was worth the cost and others left unsatisfied. Despite some mixed feedback, those looking for a classic American steakhouse experience with friendly staff may find Bobby Van's worth a try.
One of the best NY Strips I have ever eaten. The servers were always at the ready and nobody's glass ever went unfilled. Restaurant was pretty busy, having this type of attention was a big deal. All food came out together, so no awkward waiting to eat for anyone. Pricing is high, so be ready for a bit of sticker shock, but you're paying for quality.
The salmon was wonderful as well as the shrimp appetizer and Asian pear salad. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and they brought my fiancee a complimentary cheesecake with a candle for her birthday!
Not very good food my dip sauce sandwich was just bread and onions no meat
Food was great. Waiter however was a bit abrupt and rude.. Management . Offered half price bottle of wine didn't have the bottle we wanted. No apologies and no offer to compensate The only option was to pick another bottle.. Couldn't do separate checks We were instructed to write our individual amounts on the back of the receipt... Unacceptable for a high-end fine fine dining.. Ruined the overall experience
Great steak house. Great attentive service and lovely cocktails.
