Contribute FeedbackThe ambiance at E&C was charming and lively, perfect for a casual meal. The menu featured classic pub fare, with standout dishes like Bangers and Mash and Cajun Chicken Wrap. While some diners experienced slow service and uncomfortable heat, the overall experience was enjoyable for those seeking a fun, casual pub environment. The waitstaff received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the knowledge and friendliness of their servers, while others found them lacking. Despite some service hiccups, the flavorful food and inviting atmosphere make E&C a solid choice for a relaxed night out.
My friend and I had a nice experience in this restaurant in downtown DC for a quick lunch! Our server was beautiful-very funny and charming. The interior...

I’ve been here three times now for work lunch meetings and each time the service and staff have been fantastic. Definitely recommend reservations as the place fills up fairly quickly with tourists. The food prices are also excellent give how expensive restaurants can be in DC. This is a definite gem and well worth the visit.
I’m not sure if the A/C was out, or just not working very well. It was HOT inside. My husband and I were sweating just sitting there. I also spent over 15 minutes trying to wave down our waitress so we could pay. I wouldn’t have minded if we were comfortable. But it was super hot and sweaty and we had a show to get to around the corner at the Warner Theater. I don’t blame her. She was hustling! But I’m not sure if they spread her too thin or they were understaffed. Food was tasty, but unremarkable. We have places near the Warner Theater we like a lot better, so we probably won’t be back.
