This was my first meal at the restaurant. There were three of us, and it was in a very convenient location. It has more of a lounge atmosphere than I usually like for lunch. The meal, the service, and the quiet, however, overcame my initial reservations. We lingered over delicious lunches for 1 1/2 hours. View all feedback.
What OpenTable Diner dislikes about Look Restaurant and Lounge:
I booked this reservation for my Birthday celebration. The waitress that we had did not know much about drinks/food. She seemed to have a tough time understanding what we were trying to do. I did not know, but the kitchen closed at 9pm and our reservation was for 8:30, and for 12 people. So we were rushed they dinner and not able to really enjoy the experience. This was my first time here for dinner, and it will be m... View all feedback.
Our waiter was very nice and wore several guard host, answering the phone, tables inside and outside, but didn't seem to know too much about the menu. he said I'm 6 months here and I still don't know how to say anything. when he asked what the house was red for a happy hour, he said whatever they want, and I will let it happen. he did not know that the difference between the two types of dc brew beer that they carried. he called it the green dose and the orange dose. we ordered starters at 6:10 and late arrival in their order at 6:20. nothing came out of the kitchen at 6:40. we tried to announce our articles and ask for the bill. at this point the manager entered and got the kitchen to the half of our food in 5 minutes. we had to go at 7:00 a.m. to make it a show we paid $90 per ticket so we shared what we had in record time among us. the waiter asked for help to split the bill twice. we were accused for the few we had and our drinks. nothing was composed and our friend who works in the industry ran our credit cards. it was one of the worst experiences I ever had.
The quality of the food is broken down. the mushles cooked in white wine were dry. it tasted as if it was prepared and reheated in the microwave. the burrata with tomaten was delicious. disappointed that sushi was removed from the menu.
Do not understand why it is no longer overcrowded to lunch. it is reliable good and not expensive.
I have booked this reservation for my birthday party. the waitress we didn't know much about drinks/food. she seemed to have a hard time understanding what we were trying. I didn't know, but the kitchen is closed at 9 o'clock and our reservation was at 8:30 o'clock, and for 12 people. So we were rushing them to dinner and not in the position, really enjoy the experience. that was my first time to eat here, and it's gonna be my last. the food was good, but between the service and the entire experience I would not leave it to anyone else.
My wife and I made a reservation for 6pm. We arrived a few minutes before 6pm, and stood at the hostess table/podium for 10 minutes. Every single employee walking around the restaurant looked at us standing there, but did not approach us to ask if we 'd like to be seated. Finally, we walked to the bar, and asked the bartender if they were seating people. The bartender asked another employee, and she responded yes but reservations only. We told them both that we had a reservation for 6pm. That is when they prompted seated us. After being seated, the table service sucked as bad as the initial greeting. We will definitely not visit this restaurant again, not even if it were free.
