Tortilla Coast - Washington, D.C.

I recently visited a restaurant near the Capitol South metro station called Tortilla Coast. Despite the sarcastic title that could be used for a negative review, I actually had a great experience there. The location was convenient for me, just one metro stop away from Eastern Market. The service was quick, which allowed me to enjoy a post-market lunch with friends without worrying about my perishable purchases. The restaurant came highly recommended by my friends, who consider it one of their favorite spots in DC for Mexican food. I was particularly drawn to the barbecued chicken dishes on the menu, and I was not disappointed. The barbecued chicken quesadilla I ordered was delicious, with a perfect combination of smoky, tangy, salty, savory, and spicy flavors. The barbecue sauce had depth and wasn't overly sweet. The dish was so satisfying that I will definitely be returning to Tortilla Coast in the future. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Exceptional and Exemplary service!! Ask for server Pedro V., he recommended the Grilled Ahi Tuna Tacos. OMG! It extremely exceeded my expectation! Rarely a server 's recommendation paid off dividend! I went per OpenTable 's recommendation of reserving a table and want to celebrate a great productive day at the LOC. Host was very nice and the manager took the time to greet me after I paid the bill and I gave him great praise about the place. Highly recommend this place to chow and it best go during Happy Hours if possible or immediately after work. The Goose Island IPA was on point! But I was not prepared for the frozen margaritas called the 'Swirl. ' Good thing I did not drive into DC today, for I would been ubering it home. Oh weeeeee ! That drank was so gosh darned strong it made me bubbly and happy! Will be back here again when I get that benchmark passed and as a graduation gift when I finish coding school. TURN UP! LOVE IT! 5 stars for great service and atmosphere and most importantly great food!!! <3 Try it next time you are in the area, and thanks me later. This was our favorite place to eat while in D.C. Everything we ordered was great! The chicken in the taco salad was some of the best I've ever had. We loved everything we got! Staff was great as well.

Our visit was phenomenal!! The food was fresh Texas quality and the service was amazing. Our server Ashley was originally from Houston and even has family back in Louisiana!! She really took care of us well and refilled pour drinks promptly and often. The prices were great too!! I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Capitol!! We ordered the Ahi Tuna tacos and the steak fajitas.

Houston, our server was fantastic and kind. Food was pretty good! I had the chimichanga and added queso on top. Wow! So good! Id be a regular if i lived in DC.
