Have enjoyed many dinners here. Unfortunately it's last day of business is Saturday 6/25/16. Not for lack of business.....it is a family and estate thing. So sad to see a strip mall and panda express going in where this stately lovely German influenced restaurant is located. Made that part of the neighborhood unique.....now the intersection will be blah! : Really REALLY sad to see. Another gem gone. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Weissgerber's Gasthaus:
Avoid the Haxen, no flavor and not crispy. The server described it as authentic , I suggest a trip to the Haxenbauer in Munich to see how the dish should be prepared. View all feedback.
The restaurant is a favorite for us, Cynthia G. We will miss it greatly.
We hadn't been to the Gasthaus in many years. What a treat it was! The bartender was welcoming and cheerful, the host, delightful as we requested a later seating to be able to watch the Kentucky Derby. Food was delicious, the flatbread a most delicious surprise. Good German food is sadly hard to find in the Milwaukee area these days, and Gasthaus did not disappoint. We'll be back to enjoy outdoor seating when the weather cooperates.
A gastronomic and visual feast. Worth the cost and worth the effort to travel miles for a dinner.
My wife and I had been hungry for prime rib, it was worth the wait. Our meal was excellent and our waitress Heather made it even more enjoyable.
This restaurant is truly unique with delicious food. We dined here using a gift card given to Sharon for her retirement. It's unfortunate that the restaurant is closing and being demolished.
