Cuco's Mexican - Waunakee, Village of

Pretty decent Mexican hangout place in Waunakee area. The food served was tasty and value for money. They even customized one of the dishes on menu for us. Pretty good food.

Do I have to give it a one star? Food is pretty good. However, food isn't always right and no one will ever check on you. Need water? You can ask for it after you've sat down for 15 min. Food takes about 45 min and no one will come back for drinks, check up, you name it. Then after you're done... you sit for another 30 min waiting for the check. Mind you this is all with 4 tables in total and 6 workers. Sooooooo.... Could be amazing but the service alone will never get it there.

Getting here for the Grand opening was ok. But ordering food was the worst thing the Young lady taking the order was no problem but from the food being order to getting it was 30 minutes then I get tacos that have no Meet, at that point just give me the damn tortilla by itself. We talked to the owner and he didn't do anything. Work place to eat at and work first impressions. . Would never recommend this place.

I really wanted to like this place. The gentleman who took my to go order on the phone was wonderful. And they have chiles rellenos. We ordered three. On the menu, it says dipped in egg batter and fried, $3.25 ala carte. When we picked up the order, the price was actually $5.50 ... Okay, the online menu isn 't up to date. Still not bad for chiles rellenos. Got them home, and found ... 3 plain poblano peppers with a little grated cheese on top. That 's it. Called the restaurant. That 's just how the cook makes them. . No refund, no stop in next time you 're in town for a reorder . Unacceptable. We won 't be back, and that 's a shame because we always patronize local businesses over all others. But you gotta deliver what you say you 're gonna deliver. We paid $15+ for this. We won 't do that again. The burrito grande looks acceptable, but it can 't save this try of Cuco 's Waunakee. Sorry

Had a delicious, authentic meal at Cuco's. We ate at the bar and enjoyed great conversation with the bartender and other patrons. I was in the mood for enchiladas, and the bartender convinced me to try chicken enchiladas with homemade mole sauce. So glad he did best mole I've ever had. The fajitas were served sizzling hot with fresh ingredients. Love the decor as well.
