Contribute FeedbackRoots, a long-time favorite restaurant, has recently undergone ownership changes which have led to a slightly diminished dining experience. Despite serving a good but not exceptional grouper special, the lack of transparency regarding pricing left a sour taste. Additionally, rushed service and a seemingly abrupt end to the meal detracted from what should have been a fine dining experience. On the upside, the quaint and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant was noted, with some diners enjoying their experience especially during brunch. While some felt the high prices were not justified, others found the farm-to-table menu offerings to be worth the cost, with standout items like baked brie and gnocchi receiving high praise. Outdoor seating was a hit, with excellent cocktails and attentive service making for a memorable dining experience overall. Despite a few inconsistencies and complaints, Roots appears to have potential as a charming dining destination in West Chester.
WOWPerfect for a day to treat yourself and eat with a friend that appreciates foodAnd not a restaurant that's all atmosphere and subpar food.
Started off great with the cheese boardIt was wonderful with a nice selection of local cheeses, bread and condiments.
This is a great lunch or brunch spot with locally sourced ingredients and a changing menuI've never been here for dinner as it's pretty pricey.
Sat at the bar and Robert was taking care of us. He made amazing drinks for us. You MUST try one of his specials. The food was served quickly and was cooked perfectly. I will be back!
The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!
