The wings at this restaurant have truly made an impact on me. They are the most delicious wings I have ever tasted and I will definitely be spreading the word about them. Thank you, 3 Sons, for setting the bar high. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Chicken Coop:
My husband and I ordered wings with sweet rub. These were not suppose to be spicy, but were too spicy for us. We call Restaurant, no answer several times. Called a different location, they said we were right. What we ordered shouldn't have been spicy. Gave up calling the original Restaurant. Will never return to this location. View all feedback.
I had a great time at the restaurant. There weren't too many people, which I liked. My husband didn't enjoy the grape peanut butter and jelly shot, as he preferred the regular flavor. I thought the grape tasted a bit strange, but the grape scent was overpowering the peanut butter. The chicken gizzards were absolutely delicious! If you haven't tried them with parmesan sauce instead of on the side and ranch for dipping, you should definitely give it a go. It gives you two great flavors in one. The wings were a hit as well. I went for the Jack Daniels flavor, while my husband chose the kick bourbon. The kick bourbon was beautifully glazed and delicious. The Jack Daniels flavor was a bit burnt and lacked in flavor. I thought it could use some sesame seeds and less burning. I also tried the chicken Alfredo, which was creamy but not very cheesy. It was decent, but I wish they had a Cajun flavored chicken Alfredo option. Overall, I would give the restaurant 4 stars, despite the annoying gnats flying around.
I visited the restaurant for lunch on a weekday and found it to be extremely quiet. My group was the only one waiting to be seated, and the individual working there, who I believe was also the bartender, briefly glanced at us before returning to the kitchen. When he emerged, he once again made eye contact with us before heading to the bar without saying a word. We waited for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgment, which made for a very odd experience. After doing some research, it seems that this type of behavior is unfortunately common at this establishment, as other reviews mentioned being ignored and leaving. It raises the question of whether the positive reviews are genuine. I am baffled by how someone can be friendly and attentive to some patrons while ignoring others, or possibly discriminating based on appearance.
I tried the Rueben sandwich and it was delicious. The staff was amazing. I will definitely be returning soon!
Sports bar atmosphere. Everything every time I have been there and takeout has been as ordered. Great choices and everything tasty!
I enjoy their fried cheese curds and fried pickle spears. The donuts for dessert are simple and delicious. There are plenty of food options for a main course. If you enjoy bar food, and don 't want a bar atmosphere, go early in the day and have some great food. If you like it more lively, leave small kids at home, and have a fun evening out. They sometimes have live music, games (only if you want to play), and other entertainment in the evenings.Kid-friendliness: The Chicken Coop has a bar type setup. We had supper early enough that it was kid (teenager) friendly. I could see that some parents with small kids might not like some of the sports playing on the tvs. And the bar is visible from most seating areas.Parking: The Chicken Coop is part of a strip mall so there is plenty of free parking.
