What Susan B doesn't like about The Scullery At Hurlston Hall:
There was no staff available except for one waitress who was serving drinks, taking orders, and running back and forth between the bar and the restaurant. The meal I had was disappointing with cold chips and an omelette that was lacking in filling. I will not be bringing any guests to this restaurant in the future. View all feedback.
Not normally one for writing reviews but I couldn’t not this time. We normally come at least once a month as the service is outstanding the staff are so chatty it makes our day. This will be the last visit for a while as we was just about to leave after a great meal and we witnessed a chef needlessly swearing at one of the waitresses. Such a shame as we really enjoy coming here for the good food and staff.
We went here as a family for Easter Sunday lunch having been the previous year and thoroughly enjoyed it. However this year was completely different . Firstly it lacked atmosphere being only a few tables of guests . The meal took a while to arrive but when it did it was dreadful and inedible . We opted for the roast lamb as there was no other choice except for a vegetarian option. The Yorkshire pudding was stone cold and burned, the lamb was undercooked and very fatty and some of the vegetables were undercooked . To summarise it looked awful on the plates. Looking round at the few other tables everyone felt the same as there was so much food left on everyone's plates. They advertised there being a face painter for the children , which there werent . There were 2 girl entertainers who did their best to entertain the children. To sum up I feel that it was a waste of nearly £400.00 for our party and certainly won't be going anymore.
