So glad to be temporarily located around the corner. This place has the best bagels in MTL. No joke! Going back to Bagel St-Viateur will be quite a shock after this place (although they add more sesame seeds on theirs). Ask their own cream cheese with chives. So good, but at a price... And yes the staff is rude, but the bagel will put a smile on your face for a while! View all feedback.
What Francis Nienow doesn't like about Bagels on Greene:
Overall the atmosphere needs to be renovated to make it more inviting! VERY over priced and expensive. They charge a regular bagel $0.75 But if you want peanut butter they will hack on an extra 1.75 so you end up paying $2.00 + tax for bread. The owner is not very pleasant always looks mad and not very friendly. The food was good but food should be affordable and not paying more because you are in Westmount Square.. View all feedback.
On Bagels on the Greene randomly, while a route back to downtown from the top of the Mont Royal. We lit it. So many different possibilities of bagels and filling. The place does a lot for those who say Montreal Bagels are the best around. Helpful staff, delicious food and everything for a good price. Had a roaring trade long, it can continue!
Delicious food at reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Friendly, respectful staff. They bake the bagels on the grounds. A large assortment. You can buy them hot from the oven or save some money buy day or 2-day old bagels that are still very good.
There is a ongoing discussion / Controversy / Battle Montreal Bagels, Toronto Bagels or New York Bagels, which are the best. Bagels on Greene comes up when you vote for Montreal Bagels. Baked on site, in an open roof stove, they come slightly crispy on the outside and slightly chew on the inside. Cast with poppy seeds or sesame seeds for the traditionalist, or so many other delicious coatings for the modernist. But wait, this place serves great Indian cuisine! There is a service itself and pay according to the weight part, another section with a great selection of vegan / vegetation selection, and, as well, frozen and ready to go decisions. It is all well prepared, fresh and authentic. Many Pakoras, Bajhis, Samosas and a few candy to round it off. Make yourself a favor next time you're in the west of Montreal and by. Great!
While in Montreal my wife and I had to have a Montreal Bagel
I agree with other reviews that the place is a litlle confusing. It's a bagel place, indian, greek, grocery, cafe, sandwich shop in a cafeteria style environment. Bagels are good, sandwiches made to measure are good as well but I find that the Indian buffet...food is not very good and am always confused with the vegetarian options.
