Contribute FeedbackPete Miller's offers a mixed dining experience that reflects both promise and disappointment. While some patrons have enjoyed expertly cooked steaks and delicious appetizers, others have faced issues with food preparation and service. The atmosphere, especially on the patio, has received criticism for being noisy and worn, detracting from the overall experience. Despite these flaws, many appreciate the quality of certain dishes, such as the prime rib and seafood offerings. While some guests vow to return for another chance, others are hesitant due to inconsistent service and food quality, leaving the restaurant’s reputation somewhat divided among diners.
Overall, the experience was pleasant. We celebrated my son's birthday, and he wanted to share a wagyu steak with his brother. With a $129 steak (originally on sale for $79), we expected it to be incredibly tender and unforgettable. Unfortunately, the steak was still rare in the middle, despite us ordering it medium, so we had to ask the waiter to cook it a bit more. When we received it again, it was overcooked and lost the expectations we had. On a positive note, the side dishes and appetizers were excellent. I ordered the halibut, but in hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have chosen fish at a steakhouse. I'm not sure if we'll return.
We visited this restaurant on Saturday due to the storm keeping us indoors. Our dinner was lovely. The prime rib special was excellent—wonderfully cooked and better than the prime rib I've had at other places. My wife always orders the scallops, and they were delicious as well. The service was generally solid, though a bit haphazard; they did drop a dish while serving. The dessert was fantastic, and the wine prices were reasonable. It would be nice if the atmosphere were a bit livelier, but overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
The service was disappointing. We were a group of eight, and three of our meals were incorrect and had to be sent back. One dish still came out wrong, which is baffling—how difficult is it for the chef to add speck to a steak? I've been a loyal customer for years and wanted to treat my coworkers, but after this experience, I won’t be returning.
Everything we were looking for: ambiente, eating, service, all first advice and a very pleasant experience.
I always enjoy my food experience at Pete Miller's. The steaks are beautifully cooked and presented. My only complaint was the live jazz music was overly amplified on my date to the point that conversation was impacted.
