What User doesn't like about Yoder Meats:
I tried to place an order for today, and they informed me that I would receive a call later in the evening. Since I didn’t get a call, I reached out to them. They then told me my order wouldn't be ready until tomorrow, even though it clearly states Wednesday. This seems quite unprofessional. Can anyone recommend a better butcher shop? View all feedback.

I purchased two cheese summer sausages. The first one was fine, but when I cut into the second one, I noticed that after just two days in a zip-lock bag in the refrigerator, it had turned a dirty green color. Since I live too far away to return it, I had no choice but to throw it out. I won't be coming back; I'll stick to looking for new local options!
We were disappointed by the low quality of the whole turkey available for sale. We visited two days before Thanksgiving and found only a frozen brand of turkey that was injected with a 9.5% solution. That doesn't sound healthy, and the price was four times that of a natural, minimally processed turkey at Dillons. I would expect a local butcher shop to sell out of turkeys rather than offer such a poor quality option. While some of their other products appeared to be of higher quality or at least repackaged and not branded, they also had local items like jams and cakes. In terms of safety, the workers weren’t wearing masks, which raised concerns for me about customer safety and hygiene. Given the poor quality of the turkey and the lack of hygienic practices, we won’t be returning. It's unfortunate, as I really wanted to support this local Wichita business.
Not everything is from Yoder but most is local. Great selection of meat u won't find anywhere else and competitive pricing with the grocery store, most stuff is grab and go for easy freezing and they have quite a bit of bakery and jarred items for sale.
