The place was recommended to us and we are very glad about it. First of all the service is lovely, the waitresses smile and are very friendly to everyone. The place is decorated nicely, it has a homely feel to it. And also the view...is quite spectacular, obviously. The food was also good, we got two tasty gröstls that came with a small side salad which was nice. It is good value for money since you get quite a lot o... View all feedback.
What Agnès Gomez doesn't like about Zirmalm:
Very rude staff and owner with very long waiting for mediocre food! Never back! It is a shame as there is a nice location, but as there is a limited amount or restaurants in the area, you can use this...bad service away! View all feedback.
We came here on the first evening of our holiday in Alpbach in August on a Sunday evening, so I don't know if they use support staff. I had asked to book a table forward; on arrival I tried to explain this to the...woman, who was obviously not interested, and was astonishingly fled to decide whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. After that she took 40 minutes to bring all the menus, to work at other tables around us and to restore empty tables at times! while we don't even know we were sitting there waiting. It seemed at times that she tried studiously to catch our eye! Then it took 20 minutes until she came back to take the order. Some of the foods arrived relatively quickly after that, but a member of our party did not receive their dish, and the serving staff did not even notice it until I pointed out. They then returned to the kitchen to get the rest of him 10 minutes later. The food, once at the table, was actually quite good, but unfortunately it could not outweigh the rude and chaotic service we received. The restaurant was not even so busy, and with the two waiters on the staff they should have been able to handle all tables handy. Even the children were outrageous and persevering that we would not return what we did not, although Zirmalm only 10 minutes walk from our accommodation.
The portions in this restaurant are big.The quality is fine, but nothing special for which I would rate 5 dots.It has a magnificent view over the Alpbach valley which has a nice colour at the sunset.
Our 5th visit to Inneralpbach and another year eating in the Zirmalm. This year we ate here 3 times. On one night we hadn't booked and it was busy but Alma and Hede found us a table and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The next day we had the schweinhaxe which we had pre ordered. It's by far, in my opinion, their best meal. A roast pork knuckle with loads of crackling, roast potatoes, wonderfully flavoured sauerkraut and dumplings. It's just magnificent. Our final meal was the pre ordered fondue with germ knoedel as pudding. It's a must for us every time as the welcome is so friendly and the food outstanding.
So pleased we were recommended this place to eat. The foot was amazing and the staff were great. Good value and loved the fact that the staff were all in traditional dress too.
We were so lucky to have this family run restaurant a 2 minute walk from our apartment ! N based on our first night we ate here 6/7 nights n only went elsewhere as they were closed !This is completly a family run place and they work so hard ! It's busy every night and I can see why ! Local fresh cooked food is simply delicious ? Very large portions all served with a great atmosphere !I sampled the local mushroom menu ! Freshly picked mushrooms in various ways ! Yum one night we pre ordered trout and it was so fresh and beautifully cooked ! The owners here deserve great praise ! Mum n daughter do all of front of house ! Orders ! Drinks ! Waitressing ! I counted one night 50 covers and no one is left waiting ! Great good every night but I think I'm taking home excess baggage because of all the great food .You have to try this !Fabulous views as well x
