What SpeedyCreek Wanderer doesn't like about Lucky Italiano:
Not a place we were welcomed by a very dour waitperson. Her mood did not improve which probably negatively affected our opinion of the very pedestrian Italian food have you or your patrons ever eaten “real” Italian food in Italy?!? The lasagna with house made pasta? not a bonus. Leave it to the experts. It was very heavy on acidic tomato sauce and perhaps mercifully short on the pasta which was over cooked and gummy.... Met friends and had a relaxing wonderful meal and a beautiful dessert. Will be back. Very cosy and clean. Hostess didn't make us feel rushed a very comfortable place to get together wih friends and have a great meal. Pizza was excellent
Look no further. Time and time again these folks consistently turn out delicious meals. All three courses with a great wine and beer selection. We make an effort when we’re travelling through to get here to dine in or at the very least get some take out. Tonight for dinner we shared a Caesar Salad, the lasagna special, basil pesto penne. For dessert we had the apple cake and lemon tart. There are no pictures for a reason.
This restaurant in Nova Scotia, particularly in Windsor, is one of the top places to eat. The staff is always welcoming and we have been regulars since we moved here. They are very accommodating to dietary needs, including vegetarian options and the option to have a pizza with vegan cheese. The quality of the food is outstanding, everything is freshly made and prepared. The staff is friendly and the music is reminiscent of Italy. Overall, the restaurant offers quality food, a pleasant atmosphere, and helpful staff.

The lasagna with house made pasta? not a bonus. Leave it to the experts. It was very heavy on acidic tomato sauce and perhaps mercifully short on the pasta which was over cooked and gummy. The desserts were okay but were not the freshest we even avoided one cake in their display area which was definitely way past its prime. I will not remember the food, other than not what to order, if I returned, which is unlikely.
Very comfortable little restaurant with very good service and very good Italian food filled with excellent flavors. When I eat out I want to taste my meals and I certainly can here. Good job!
