Contribute FeedbackNestled in an industrial area, The Nutmeg has garnered attention for its diverse offerings and charming interior. Diners have praised the exceptional service, with staff like Junior ensuring a memorable experience during large gatherings, including brunches and post-funeral luncheons. Menu highlights include delicious Choppino, chicken marsala, and various brunch staples, although some noted inconsistencies, like warm cocktails and occasional food shortages. However, holiday dining left some patrons disappointed due to bland dishes and a lack of festive decor. With a lively atmosphere featuring live music and a welcoming ambiance, The Nutmeg remains a place worth visiting.
The restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with a wide selection of dishes, accompanied by friendly and attentive staff.
We had a large party of 16 for brunch. The service was outstanding! Junior our server was so nice, amazing service and checked on us frequently. The food was tasty. We had Mac and cheese, stuffed shells, rice with stew meat, stuffed sole, cocktail shrimp, multiple salads, eggs benedict...something for everyone. They ran out of chocolate cake and the lady went to the kitchen to get me more...so sweet. It's was nicely decorated. The outside location is in a more industrial area but it's like a hidden gem inside. Great value. Many baby showers etc taking place. Would definitely come back again!
The Choppino was extremely delicious. There was enough food, seafood and pasta left over for a couple of different meals. The chicken marsala was perfect with fresh brown mushrooms. Every fish dish was excellent and Paulino and his wife were excellent hostesses. The Nutmeg is a hidden gem and should be tried if you're looking for a different place to dine.
Very disappointed with our 2022 Thanksgiving dining experience. Would not recommend for the future. The food tasted like it had all been an order from Sysko. The proteins were all dry ... turkey breast and pork loin and stuffed sole and chickenfrancaise. No carving stations and clearly pre-packaged from Sysko. The sides were bland ... how can orzo salad be bland? The bread dressing was grainy. The broclirabi was tough and stringy. The Greek salad was dripping in salad dressing with verylittle greens. The best by far was pumpkin soup ... overly sweet tho. And for dessert, the all familiar pumpkin pie wasmissing and replaced with a pumpkin chesecake and oreo cookie cheesecake ... how many cheesecakes can u have???? All for $60prix fix. Felt like it was all about fitting in and filling tables. Where were the holiday decorations? Thank goodness for theamazing room supervisor Brian!!! Overall not a very pleasant gastric experience.
Service was excellent, as was the brunch. Everyone enjoyed themselves celebrating a 50th anniversary.
